The Next-door Factory, 2021

Bangkok, the capital city, is known for its unplanned urban layout. It is not uncommon to see a restaurant situated next to an auto repair shop or a house located near a steel factory. However, I saw this as an opportunity and imagined creating furniture pieces in collaboration with a nearby steel shop or within walking distance from my home. By utilizing the expertise of local workers and the available materials, I was able to create versatile storage solutions that could serve as coffee tables, storage units, or side tables.
