Rhône Glacier covers in massive blankets.

The random shape of the glacier causes fabric tension.

The lamp structure can bend in two ways due to tension in the fabric. The design is modular, playful, and can be easily adjusted to accommodate various lighting needs.

Under The Covers, 2021
The depletion of natural resources is a growing concern due to the effects of global warming. To combat this, the Rhône Glacier is now being covered with large blankets to protect the valuable resources beneath. Drawing inspiration from this, I have repurposed an iconic jar from La Prairie, a Swiss cosmetic brand. By covering the blue glass with white polymer, the light is shaded and transformed into the brand's signature colour. The resulting light fixture, inspired by the beauty of the covered glacier and the work of Noguchi Isamu, can be used in La Prairie's offices, shops, and kiosks worldwide. Even the leftover jars can be transformed into virtual objects that showcase the brand's identity.
